The Jay-Z Super Bowl halftime show is set for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced on Monday night. It will be the rapper's first Super Bowl performance, produced by his company Roc Nation.

What happened

The Jay-Z Super Bowl halftime show was revealed during the Monday night NFL game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 26, U.S. Eastern time, NBC Los Angeles reported. Apple Music, the show's sponsor, followed with a post reading "GOAT's out of the bag," according to the same report.

ESPN published its report at 10:09 p.m. ET on Oct. 26 (02:09 UTC on Oct. 27), and ABC News posted its story minutes earlier. Both outlets confirm the date and venue: Sunday, Feb. 14, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, in the Los Angeles area.

In a statement quoted by ESPN, Jay-Z said: "From 'Reasonable Doubt' to standing on the Super Bowl halftime stage, this has been a journey." He described the moment as "thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world's biggest stage."

What we know and what we don't know yet

The NFL and Roc Nation have not named any guest performers or released a set list. Questions about who might join Jay-Z on stage are still speculation, and Bullquill will update this page once the league confirms details.

Background: why this pick stands out

Roc Nation has worked with the NFL since 2019 on entertainment presentations, including the halftime show, ESPN reported. NBC Los Angeles added that Roc Nation recently signed a five-year extension that runs through 2029. Because his own company produces the show, the decision to put Jay-Z himself on stage drew wide attention.

ESPN recalled that when the partnership was first discussed in 2019, Jay-Z said: "If this is about me performing at the Super Bowl, then we can just end this conversation now." According to ESPN, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell asked him to take the stage whenever the moment felt right to him.

The booking follows Jay-Z's 30th-anniversary concerts for his 1996 debut album "Reasonable Doubt." ESPN reported that the run included three sold-out Yankee Stadium shows, sold-out dates in London and Paris, and a stop at SoFi Stadium, the same venue that will host the Super Bowl.

His record gives the show a deep catalog to draw from. According to ESPN, Jay-Z has won 25 Grammys from 89 nominations, the second-most nominations in history after Beyoncé. He was the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (2017) and entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.

Recent halftime audiences

Figures as reported by ESPN on Oct. 26, 2026. Bad Bunny's 2026 show at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara was the fourth most-watched halftime show, ESPN said, and it went on to win a record seven Emmys.

What it means

For the NFL, the announcement settles the biggest entertainment question of the season more than three months before kickoff. For Jay-Z, it reverses the stance he described in 2019, when he said he did not want to perform at the event.

The Los Angeles setting also links the show to his recent SoFi Stadium concerts.
