## Key takeaways

- The basis of allotment for the Jio Platforms IPO is scheduled for Monday, October 26, 2026, with KFin Technologies as registrar.
- Bids closed on October 23 with the issue subscribed about 21.4 times on consolidated exchange data, led by institutional buyers at roughly 67 times.
- The retail portion was subscribed about 2.76 times, so most retail applicants will be decided by a computerised lottery for one 12-share lot.
- Refunds and demat credits are expected on October 27, and the shares are scheduled to list on BSE and NSE on Wednesday, October 28.
- Grey market premium figures are unofficial and unregulated; they do not indicate the listing price.

Jio Platforms IPO allotment status can be checked from Monday, October 26, on registrar KFin Technologies' portal or the BSE and NSE websites, according to the issue timeline published by Chittorgarh and Kotak Neo. Shares are scheduled to list on October 28.

The offer, which ran from October 21 to October 23, is the largest initial public offering in India by size. It consists entirely of new shares, with no offer for sale by existing holders. Shares that are allotted should reach demat accounts on Tuesday, October 27, a day before trading begins.

## Jio Platforms IPO allotment status: how to check

There are three official places to check, and all of them draw on the same registrar data once the basis of allotment is approved. Status pages usually update in the evening of allotment day, so a "record not found" message earlier in the day does not mean an application was rejected.

### 1\. On the KFin Technologies registrar portal

1. Open the [KFin Technologies IPO status page](https://ipostatus.kfintech.com/?ref=bullquill.com).
2. Select "Jio Platforms Limited" from the list of issues.
3. Choose one identifier: application number, demat account number (DP ID and client ID), or PAN.
4. Enter the details, complete the captcha and submit. The page shows the number of shares applied for and allotted.

### 2\. On the BSE website

1. Go to the [BSE application status page](https://www.bseindia.com/investors/appli%5Fcheck.aspx?ref=bullquill.com).
2. Set the issue type to "Equity" and choose "Jio Platforms Limited" as the issue name.
3. Enter the application number or PAN, tick the captcha and press "Search".

### 3\. On the NSE website

1. Visit the [NSE bid verification page](https://www.nseindia.com/invest/check-trades-bids-verify-ipo-bids?ref=bullquill.com).
2. Select "Equity & SME IPO bid details" and the symbol JPL, according to Groww's step-by-step guide.
3. Enter PAN and application number, then submit.

Brokers' apps and the bank account used for the UPI or ASBA block are a fourth check. If no shares are allotted, the blocked amount is released; if shares are allotted, only the amount for those shares is debited.

## Final subscription by investor category

Demand was heaviest from institutions. The issue was fully subscribed in less than two hours on the opening day, according to YourStory, and Reuters reported that the institutional book filled within minutes. By the close on October 23, the consolidated exchange data compiled by Chittorgarh showed the following figures.

| Category | Share of net offer | Shares offered | Subscription (times) |

Other trackers published slightly different closing numbers. Groww and Upstox reported 22.19 times overall, with institutions at 70.55 times, non-institutional investors at 14 times and retail at 2.72 times. Small gaps like this are common because exchanges keep updating bid data for a few hours after bidding closes; the exchange-confirmed figure appears in the basis-of-allotment notice filed by the registrar.

Chittorgarh counted about 1.39 crore (13.9 million) applications in total. Before the public window, Jio Platforms raised ₹8,109.85 crore from anchor investors on October 19 by allocating 7,24,74,066 shares, according to the same data.

## What the numbers mean for allotment odds

Allotment rules differ by category under the Securities and Exchange Board of India's (SEBI) issue regulations, so the headline multiple says little about an individual applicant's chances.

### Retail investors

When the retail book is oversubscribed, SEBI rules require shares to be spread as widely as possible: the registrar runs a computerised lottery in which each valid application can win at most one minimum lot (12 shares here). Applying for several lots under one PAN does not improve the odds of getting the first lot.

A rough Bullquill calculation from the table above shows the scale. The retail portion of 8,50,37,326 shares equals about 70.9 lakh lots of 12 shares. Retail bids covered about 23.49 crore shares, or roughly 1.96 crore lots. Because many applicants bid for more than one lot, the number of applications is lower than the number of lots bid, which means a valid single application has a better than one-in-three chance of a lot. The exact ratio will only be known when the registrar publishes the basis of allotment.

### Non-institutional investors

Since SEBI's 2022 changes, the NII book is split into a small-NII part (₹2–10 lakh) and a big-NII part (above ₹10 lakh). Allotment in each is also done by draw of lots for the minimum NII application size, with any leftover shares shared proportionately. At 10 to 16 times subscription, most NII applicants are likely to receive nothing.

### Institutions, employees and shareholders

Institutional allotment is discretionary for the book-running lead managers within SEBI limits. Employee and shareholder reservations are allotted under their own quotas, so an investor eligible for more than one category may receive shares in one and not the other.

## A note on the grey market premium

Several Indian broker and media sites publish a daily "grey market premium" (GMP) for the stock. IIFL, for example, reported a GMP of ₹245 during the final day of bidding. These quotes come from unofficial, unregulated trades that are not reported to any exchange, cannot be verified, and often change sharply before listing. The listing price will be set by the pre-open call auction on BSE and NSE on October 28.

## What it means

For most applicants, the result now depends on category rules rather than on market conditions. Institutions have already secured large demand, while retail and small-NII investors face a lottery. Anyone who does not receive shares should see the blocked funds released on or around October 27; a delay beyond that is usually a question for the investor's bank, with the registrar as the next point of contact.

For India's market, the offer's size and the depth of institutional demand matter beyond Reliance Industries. It is a test of whether domestic and foreign institutions will absorb very large new listings during a stretch of heavy foreign portfolio selling, which Bullquill's India briefs have tracked this month. The October 28 debut and trading in the following weeks will show how much of that demand carries over once the shares are freely traded.

## Frequently asked questions

### How can I check my Jio Platforms IPO allotment status?

Use the KFin Technologies IPO status page (ipostatus.kfintech.com), the BSE application status page, or the NSE bid verification page. Select Jio Platforms Limited and enter your PAN, application number or demat account details.

### When is the Jio Platforms IPO listing date?

The shares are scheduled to list on BSE and NSE on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, after allotment on October 26 and demat credit on October 27.

### When will refunds for the Jio Platforms IPO be processed?

Refunds, or the unblocking of ASBA/UPI funds for unallotted bids, are expected on or around October 27, 2026, according to the published issue timeline.

### Does applying for more lots improve retail allotment chances?

No. When the retail portion is oversubscribed, SEBI rules require a lottery in which each valid application can win at most one minimum lot of 12 shares, so extra lots under the same PAN do not raise the odds.
